Franck Allais
“I like to use photography to disrupt the habitual way people view everyday things.”

Franck was born in Dreux, France in 1972. He grew up there and worked in a photographic studio until he then moved to London. His work has been displayed all over social media and has been used in different newspapers like The Guardian and The Saturday Telegraph. In his images he makes the proportions so they challenge reality, for example he photographs an image of a person and a small object and edits them to make the person appear smaller than the object. This creates an illusion as it is so well edited by Franck, allowing the picture to be more interesting and appealing to look at.
The reason I have chosen to look at Francks work is because I really like the aesthetic of his images and how they have a very comical and enjoyable approach to everyday things. I am planning on using a very similar technique of taking multiple pictures of different size objects and through editing I will get a similar outcome. Looking at Francks work in more detail, I like the different pops of colour he incorporates into his photos, it looks as though he increases the saturation to make the colours look more bright.
