Deb Young
Deb Young is a photographer from New Zealand, who grew up in Auckland with her family and friends.
She got into photography when she had a small photo shoot with her family where the pictures were back lit and black and white. When she viewed the picture she really loved the effect of the edits and how authentic the back garden shots were. After this she bought a camera and started taking photographs of her children. Deb then took the approach of doing candid pictures with deep contrasts.

Deb Young's pictures are all black and white giving each picture quite a spooky effect. This is also given by the weather conditions she captures in her design, for example she commonly uses fog in the background of her designs to portray mystery and darkness. Both of these link to the theme of isolation which is why my photography will be influenced by her designs.
