I have edited each of my final designs to make them more vibrant and sharpened. I edited my pictures by adjusting certain settings. I changed the brightness, contrast, vibrance and saturation. This helped to make my designs more aesthetically pleasing and created more definition. I also sharpened a lot of the pictures to give them a better quality as some photographs were slightly blurry.
To make my designs more intriguing I edited different parts of the picture by taking things out. For example the pictures above show how I removed the strings that held up the match sticks. This creates a unique illusion, as if the match sticks are floating.
I have used inspiration from Henrik Bonnevier with the colour scheme I have used. This can be shown through the pictures above where I have coordinated the colours of the objects to the colour of the background. However, Henrik uses a lot of effectively arranged objects in his designs, whereas I have just used one object as the main focus of my design.
A few of my designs feature food just like Sam Kaplan's designs do. I have presented certain foods in a unique way to allow my designs to look more creative and be quite thought-provoking. For example I put different parts of an egg in spoons to portray the idea that someone has spooned out the egg and separated the sections.
I have used inspiration from both Sam Kaplan and Henrik Bonnevier in my photos as I have adapted techniques that they use in their designs. A main focus on both of the artists work is colour, they are mainly vibrant and hued. I used this in my own photographs by editing it in photoshop, adjusting the vibrance, hue and saturation.
